Are you ready to help deliver one of Scotland's most transformative healthcare infrastructure projects? We're looking for a Project Façades Engineer to take a key technical leadership role on the Monklands Replacement Hospital - a flagship programme that will set new benchmarks in quality, sustainability, and engineering excellence.

About the Role

As a Project Façades Engineer, you'll be the technical lead for the design, coordination and delivery of façade systems across a complex, large-scale hospital environment. You'll oversee a team of Senior Façade Engineers and play a pivotal role in ensuring buildability, safety, quality and innovation from concept through to completion.

You'll work as part of our Engineering Enterprise—championing digital engineering, DfMA, and technical best practice across the project.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the façade engineering design and delivery for the project, ensuring accuracy, safety, compliance, and innovation.
  • Managing and developing a small team of Senior Façade Engineers.
  • Collaborating with design consultants, suppliers and site teams to resolve technical challenges and drive best practice.
  • Carrying out critical review of specifications, buildability, surveys, dimensional control, testing and quality assurance.
  • Interrogating 3D CAD/BIM data to support construction planning and engineering decisions.
  • Championing DfMA and digital engineering approaches to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Managing temporary works interfaces, inspection/test plans, contractor-designed elements, and change control.
  • Ensuring all works are delivered to the highest engineering and safety standards.

About You

You'll bring strong technical expertise, practical site experience, and the confidence to lead others. Specifically, we're looking for:

  • A degree in an engineering, construction or design discipline (or equivalent technical qualification with experience).
  • Chartered or professionally qualified (or working towards).
  • 8+ years technical/practical engineering experience, ideally in façades or building envelope delivery.
  • Strong knowledge of standards, testing regimes, digital engineering tools, and design processes.
  • Ability to interpret complex design information and turn it into safe, buildable solutions.
  • A collaborative mindset—someone who can influence, guide, and bring others on the journey.

Why Join Us?

  • Work on a major healthcare programme that will have long-lasting community impact.
  • Be part of a forward-thinking engineering function that champions innovation, excellence and continuous development.
  • Opportunity to shape how we design and deliver façades across a complex, high-profile project.
  • A supportive culture that values diversity, inclusion, and technical excellence.
