Laing O'Rourke is looking for experienced Groundworkers to join our team on the Calderdale Hospital project in Halifax.

As part of our directly employed workforce, you'll contribute to the successful delivery of a major healthcare construction project whilst benefiting from excellent training, development and long-term career opportunities.

Key Duties

  • Carry out general groundworks activities safely and efficiently.
  • Excavate and prepare foundations, trenches and drainage systems.
  • Install kerbing, paving and associated groundwork elements.
  • Work to drawings, specifications and site instructions.
  • Support the delivery of projects in line with programme requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of health, safety and quality.
  • Work collaboratively with site teams and other trades.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Groundworker.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and site information.
  • Experience with excavation, drainage and concrete works.
  • Strong understanding of safe systems of work.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Reliable, proactive and quality focused.

Essential Qualifications

  • CSCS Skilled Worker Card
