What we value:

  1. Integrity

Bringing energy, taking pride in your role, being sensitive to your impact, showing drive, being

committed, respecting confidentiality, doing the right thing, being accountable

  1. Respect

Valuing and empowering others, making a difference, considering others' needs and

approaches, asking for help, recognising what people achieve, listening and trying to understand,

explaining decisions, thinking about environmental impact

  1. Leadership

Creating an exciting environment, being open and honest, showing enthusiasm,

looking for new ways to do things, being flexible, being curious, giving clear direction, setting new

standards, making the most of opportunities

  1. Health, Safety and Wellbeing

Making safety our top priority, acting quickly to reduce risks, making proactive

moves, taking care of our own and others' health, safety and wellbeing

Principles

  1. Best for project: Am I making decisions that are best for the project? Am I taking actions that help the project

most? Am I putting project goals above my own company goals? Do I get that LM

success/failure is HS2 success/failure?

  1. Inclusivity: Have I brought in everyone who could help? Am I making use of the team's combined

strengths? Am I encouraging others' ideas? Am I considering others' perspectives

and putting myself in their shoes? Are we working together to set milestones?

  1. People first: Am I looking after my own and others' wellbeing? Am I thanking people for what they do?

Am I respecting people's personal lives? Am I using tech where I can

to help work life balance? Am I working in a 'safe and well' way? Am I talking first, emailing

second?

  1. Jointly seeking solutions: Am I asking for help when I need it? Am I helping others

when I can? Am I making others feel okay about 'not knowing'? Am I avoiding working in silos?
