        Strategic Programmes Finance Analyst/Manager – Group

        Location: Dartford with occasional travel particularly within UK

        Reporting to: Finance Director – Corporate

        The business is entering an exciting phase with the set up of a new Strategic Programme hub within the business split across Australia and UK

        A flexible approach and the ability to embrace change within a dynamic and challenging work environment are crucial. The primary responsibilities for this role include establishing key relationships within finance and non-finance personnel across the business to set up all required financial process, accounting treatment, controls and reporting to support the new Strategic Programmes hub in the UK and enable Group consolidation of Strategic Programmes.

        This role will be required to business partner with the Strategic Programme Senior Leadership team and ensure alignment with Australia Strategic Programmes hub

        Responsibilities

        The role comprises of the following key responsibilities:

        • Set up reporting and ensure systems are appropriately set up to ensure efficient and accurate monthly reporting and forecasting
        • Responsible for month end activities and preparation of monthly performance review reports including UK and Group consolidated view
        • Business partner with functional overhead leads within the UK Strategic Business hub ensuring appropriate accounting treatment of operating costs and capital expenditure
        • Analyse financial data and performance metrics related to the business to help identify trends, opportunities and areas of improvement
        • Build and maintain financial strategic models and run scenarios as required in order to evaluate multiple scenarios
        • Provide decision support, including financial analysis and accounting treatment review to support operational decision making
        • Analyse Group Strategic Programmes financial data, providing insights to senior management
        • Draft and document governance requirements and processes to be implemented for approval

        Key experience and skills

        • Qualified Accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
        • Bachelor's Degree
        • Ability to interact with Senior leadership both finance and non-finance
        • Experience in liquidity management and reporting
        • Evidence of working in a fast paced, high change environment and able to manage multiple demands effectively whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy, quality and attention to detail
        • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organised
        • Capable to work within a team, but also able to deliver work on own merit
        • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills including inspiring trust and influencing; communicating technical financial information in a clear and commercial manner; adapting style and content for different audiences; and demonstrating a confident, credible and accomplished presentation style
        • Ability to think creatively, highly-driven and self-motivated

        Desirable

        • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Data Automation Tools (such as Python/PBI) and PowerPoint skills and systems experience
        • Previous engineering / construction industry experience
