Laing O'Rourke are currently recruiting for a Temporary Works Coordinator to join our Engineering team on the Ellison Institute of Technology, in Oxford.
As Lead TWC for the project their role will be to lead and oversee all temporary works on site, ensuring compliance with industry standards, best practices, legal requirements and LOR procedures. It will be the responsibility of the TWC to appoint a competent TW team across both LOR and subcontractors working on the project in order to suitably manage and supervise TW.
Role & responsibilities:
- Coordinate all temporary works activities across construction projects
- Ensure temporary works designs are suitable, approved, and communicated effectively
- Act as the primary contact between the design team and site team for temporary works matters
- Monitor implementation of temporary works to ensure they adhere to design specifications and safety requirements
- Maintain clear records of temporary works approvals, inspections, and modifications
- Lead temporary works briefings and training for site personnel
- Manage temporary works risks and provide input during project planning stages
- Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and company procedures
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent)
- Extensive temporary works experience
- TWCTC
