Expanded Piling are currently recruiting for a Planner to assist on the Enabling works on Sizewell C.

Expanded Geotechnical is a member of the Laing O'Rourke construction group. We are a leading specialist Piling contractor involved in the UK ground engineering industry. Our involvement in delivery of the most prestigious and complex projects demands that we design and install a broad range of best value foundation solutions for our clients. Key to achieving our strategy for continued profitable growth is investing in our geotechnical team.

The planner will be a key part of the project team enabling a clear picture of work flow, milestones and budget. Using P6 to monitor, prepare and report planning schedules ensuring milestones and targets are on track.

The position is based on site so you will get the opportunity to see the work in action and access the engineering areas. This will enable you to fully understand the project and plan around the assets that you will have responsibility for. The position will naturally develop into a planning delivery role once the focus on asset protection is serviced.

Role and Responsibilities 

  • Actively maintain a record of tender / project risks, planning issues, actions and resolutions and track these to a conclusion.
  • Produce, develop and maintain high quality Primavera project plans, including manufacturing and site activities.
  • Support the business's Digital Engineering agenda through the development of maintenance of 4d time and cost integrated models.
  • Update project programmes with progress on a periodic basis, ensuring programme changes are implemented in a controlled manner. Undertake cause and effect analysis as a result of progress or instructed change and produce exception reports and cause and effect and “as-built” programmes to support change management processes.

Requirements

  • Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Piling experience is desirable   
  • Proficient in P6/ ASTA
