The Strategic Resourcing Analyst enables data-driven workforce planning by providing robust analysis, reporting and insight to support strategic capacity and capability decisions. Working closely with the Strategic Resourcing Partner and business leaders, the role translates workforce data into clear, actionable intelligence that informs recruitment, talent strategy and commercial planning.
As a key technical specialist for Saviom and associated reporting tools, the Analyst is responsible for data integrity, dashboard development and production of regular and ad hoc workforce reports. The role audits and validates project and people data, ensuring accurate forecasting of demand, utilisation and capacity risks across sectors and regions.
The Strategic Resourcing Analyst supports scenario modelling, skills gap analysis and trend reporting, including attrition, diversity and workforce stability metrics. By identifying emerging capability risks and highlighting data-driven insights, the role strengthens governance forums, enhances decision-making, and contributes to building a resilient, future-ready workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce accurate, timely workforce reports and dashboards to support strategic capacity and capability planning.
- Maintain and audit data integrity within Saviom and related workforce planning systems, ensuring high-quality inputs and reliable outputs.
- Develop, maintain and continuously improve reporting tools, dashboards and visualisations to enhance decision-making.
- Analyse demand, utilisation, capacity and forecasting data to identify emerging resourcing risks and opportunities.
- Support scenario modelling activities (e.g. project wins, growth plans, geographic expansion) to assess workforce impact, complimenting the external market research.
- Conduct gap analysis across job families and grades using system data and stakeholder input to highlight current and future capability risks.
- Monitor and report on key workforce metrics, including attrition, diversity, retention and workforce stability trends.
- Provide insight and data packs to inform talent forums, business resourcing meetings, sector strategy and talent discussions.
- Working alongside the Strategic Resourcing Partner, respond to requests supporting resourcing decisions and work winning pursuits. Collaborating with Talent and People Operations. This may extend to supporting with insights for Laing O'Rourke Australia.
- Support continuous improvement of workforce planning methodologies, processes and system adoption.
- Promote accurate and timely entry of project and staff/ resource data by engaging with stakeholders and providing guidance where required.
- Contribute to the development of standardised reporting frameworks, documentation and best practice guidance.

- Demonstrates strong capability in workforce planning systems (e.g. Saviom), reporting tools and advanced Excel/BI platforms.
- Maintains high standards of data accuracy, validation and governance.
- Continuously seeks to improve reporting automation and dashboard functionality.

- Applies rigorous quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of workforce data.
- Proactively identifies data gaps and works with stakeholders to resolve discrepancies.
- Understands the downstream impact of poor data quality on forecasting and business risk.

- Understands how workforce metrics link to commercial performance, project delivery and strategic growth.
- Anticipates capacity and capability risks and highlights implications for recruitment and talent strategy.
- Supports scenario modelling to assess financial and operational impact.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication
- Communicates complex data clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences.
- Builds effective working relationships with Talent Acquisition, Talent, HR and business leaders.
- Influences behaviours by promoting accurate data entry and evidence-based decision-making.
