Laing O'Rourke is launching a brand-new Strategic Resourcing function—designed to transform how we forecast, plan, and optimise our workforce for the future. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of that change.

We are looking for a Strategic Resourcing Analyst who will play a pivotal role in building our workforce intelligence capability and unlocking the value of our new Workforce Planning & Capacity Management tool. About the Role

As a Strategic Resourcing Analyst, you will:

· Drive workforce analytics and reporting, providing high-quality insights that directly support strategic decision-making across the business.

· Leverage our new workforce planning and capacity management platform to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in resource demand and supply.

· Develop and maintain dashboards, scenario models, and forecasting tools to support project, portfolio, and organisational planning.

· Collaborate with Project Leaders, HR Business Partners, and Functional Leads to ensure accurate and timely workforce data.

· Support the evolution of our strategic workforce planning processes, standards, and governance as the team grows.

· Champion data literacy and insight-led resourcing across the organisation.

About You

You will thrive in this role if you:

· Have experience in workforce planning, resourcing, business analytics, or similar data-led roles.

· Are highly proficient with data tools (Power BI, Excel, or similar) and confident analysing complex datasets.

· Understand forecasting, capacity planning, or resource modelling principles.

· Are comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels and translating technical insights into clear business narratives.

· Are proactive, curious, and motivated to build new processes and capabilities from the ground up.

· Want to make a tangible impact on organisational performance through better workforce intelligence.
