We are now seeking a Senior Social Value Advisor to join our team, supporting the Ministry of Justice's Small Secure Houseblock Programme. Based in the Northeast of England, this role will work across two construction sites, playing a key part in ensuring our projects deliver meaningful social and economic benefits.
Key Responsibilites
In this role, you will lead the delivery of social value across projects, ensuring commitments translate into real outcomes:
- Lead the implementation of Social Value strategies across multiple projects
- Develop and deliver plans aligned with client and central social value priorities
- Monitor performance against contractual KPIs, identifying and escalating risks and issues
- Engage and inspire project teams to embed social value into day-to-day delivery
- Build and manage strong relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners, and the supply chain
- Represent social value in client and project review meetings, reporting on progress and challenges
- Embed social value requirements throughout procurement using our Social Value Playbook
- Track, monitor, and evaluate social value outcomes and impact
- Stay informed on emerging trends, tools, and best practices in social value and impact measurement
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating meaningful impact and can drive results across complex projects:
- Strong understanding of social value in both public and private sectors, particularly within the Northeast of England, including education, employment, and community regeneration
- Experience managing KPIs across multiple projects or programmes
- Familiarity with social value frameworks such as the UK Government Social Value Model and UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to identify and engage key stakeholders and partners
- Confidence to lead meetings and present to senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational and coordination skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure
- A collaborative team player with a strong work ethic and relationship-building skills
