Senior Project Planner
Role Purpose
The Senior Project Planner is accountable for developing, managing, and monitoring project programmes to ensure successful delivery. This position provides strategic and commercial insight into programme performance and facilitates the project team in achieving critical milestones.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct planning, scheduling, and coordination activities throughout the project lifecycle
- Develop and maintain contract and construction programmes
- Ensure all programmes align with project requirements and business plans
- Analyse progress, identify risks, and recommend mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and supply chain partners to ensure effective delivery
- Provide strategic planning input across tender, design, procurement, and construction phases
- Monitor performance, report on progress, and escalate key issues
- Foster team development and promote best practice in planning processes
Key Skills & Experience
- Extensive expertise in project planning and programme controls
- Experience in pre-contract planning, tendering, and construction sequencing
- Ability to assess risks, opportunities, and commercial impacts
- Proficient in stakeholder management and communication of programme strategies
- Advanced proficiency with project management systems and planning tools
