The Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Planner to join our growing team at our Oldbury facility. This role has been created to support continued business growth.As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in ensuring that production is effectively planned, coordinated, and delivered in line with project and business requirements.

To plan, coordinate, and monitor production programmes and capacity, ensuring the effective use of labour, factory space, and overtime. You will help ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and in line with operational goals.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Review and interpret project programmes (modulogs) from the DfMA team, providing structured feedback aligned to factory capacity and lead times

  • Develop and maintain detailed Gantt charts using Asta Powerproject

  • Track progress against plan and report updates in daily operations meetings

  • Produce weekly production plans outlining activities, timelines, and resource requirements

  • Analyse long-term workload forecasts and integrate them into production planning

  • Monitor outsourced work and provide recommendations on outsourcing levels

  • Produce weekly dashboards highlighting risks, issues, and performance (BPR reporting)

  • Act as a key link between production, estimating, engineering, and project teams

  • Support the Senior Production Leader and deputise when required

  • Use SAP data to support and inform planning activities


What We're Looking For

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in planning and a preference to within construction manufacturing facilities

  • Advanced user of Asta Powerproject

  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills

  • Clear communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a structured, logical approach

Desirable

  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Lean Manufacturing experience or qualification


Technical Capabilities

  • Advanced: Asta Powerproject, Excel, data analysis, production planning

  • Competent: SAP data review and interpretation


Qualifications

  • Essential: Asta Powerproject trained and competent

  • Desirable: Lean Manufacturing qualification, SAP training

  • Resilient and able to manage competing priorities

  • Effective communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders
