Digital Engineer (BIM Professional)

Location: South West London (Wimbledon)

Join a pioneering Digital Engineering team reshaping the future of UK power infrastructure. We're looking for a Senior Digital Engineer—think BIM Manager with extra firepower—to lead digital delivery on a major substation redevelopment in London. Are you able to influence others and present ideas, challenging assumptions constructively? Then this is the role for you.

What you'll do:

• Own BIM strategy and delivery, aligned with ISO 19650
• Coordinate digital outputs across design, construction, and client teams
• Manage BEPs, MIDPs, IDPs, and asset data requirements
• Drive automation, data analytics (Power BI, Dynamo, Python), and smarter workflows
• Oversee model validation, clash detection, and interface management across civils, MEP, and HV systems
• Federate multi-disciplined models
• Champion digital protocols and mentor junior engineers

What you bring:

• Expertise in Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, 3D Repo (Bentley/MicroStation a plus)
• Strong CDE experience (ProjectWise, ACC, Asite)
• Knowledge of reality capture, 4D/5D modelling, and mobile data workflows
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills

The role will be based out of Wimbledon. A Digital Engineer at Laing O'Rourke utlises the latest BIM techniques and software and promotes a full-range of digital capabilities.
