Job Title: Graduate Project Coordinator

Role Overview  

A Project Coordinator safely and effectively manages a set of tasks and is responsible for their outcome. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Coordinator, this role will potentially include the management and supervision of student project coordinators for Explore Manufacturing at the Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC).  

Our Graduates work within the Contracts Team under the guidance of Senior Project Coordinators & Contracts Managers, alongside other project coordinators. You will work predominantly at CEMC assisting in the management and delivery of major construction projects.

You will receive the appropriate on and off the job training to allow you to become an experienced Project Coordinator.

Degree Subjects   

We are looking for candidates with a degree in a Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other construction related degrees.  

Professional Accreditation

The Chartered Institute of Building - CIOB

Key Deliverables and Accountabilities of a Site Engineer.

  • Support the supply of products to the project to the agreed specification, with assured delivery in sequence and time.
  • Point of contact for programming, technical, production, delivery and quality issues.
  • Support briefing client requirements on projects including scope, programme, specification and design information are understood by the team to inform the delivery plan.
  • Monitor progress of all elements of design, delivery and supply chain.
  • Attend site progress, coordination meetings and workshops, investigating any customer complaints/NCRs as required
  • Always applies the LOR procedures.
  • Extracts tolerance information from specifications.
  • Complies with project and company procedures on Workmanship, quality, inspection and testing
  • Has a basic understanding of the properties, principles and capabilities of relevant materials, products, plant and systems.
  • Understands the manufacturing methods/practices that are in use at CEMC and can measure and record materials and resources.
  • Understand and comply with Temporary works procedure and systems.
  • Communicates as appropriate with all departments
  • Knows the specific requirements of the various management roles.
  • Is aware of Manufacturing logistics and understands the CEMC logistics plan.

  • Video Interview
    At this stage, you will be invited to record responses to two questions set by our hiring team. You will have sufficient time to prepare and ensure you present yourself confidently.
  • Assessment Centre
    Our in-person assessment centres, held at a LOR office, provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills through a combination of individual tasks, short interviews, and group activities. This is also a chance to experience our culture first-hand.
  • Outcome
    We aim to provide feedback and communicate the outcome of your assessment centre within two weeks.

Entry requirements 

We are looking for graduates who meet the following criteria:  

  • Studying a degree course with a clear route to professional accreditation
  • Your degree classification should be 2:2 or higher
  • Entry degrees will be listed within each of our graduate vacancies and differ from role to role
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Flexibility as you may be required to work away    
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • If applying with a graduate visa, this must be valid for 2 years from the start of the graduate programme
