Laing O'Rourke, C/O of Select Security, is recruiting a team of Security Officers for one of our projects building a new substation outside of Chesterfield. Current roles available include day and night security officers working 12-hour shifts varying between 48-60 hours per week on a long-term basis.
We are looking for professional security officers who have experience in protecting buildings and construction sites, monitoring that no unauthorised intruders or members of the public accidentally stray into unsafe areas. Day shifts will be manning the gate house and booking in visitors, whilst night roles will be predominantly mobile within a site vehicle, patrolling remote working locations and responding to CCTV activations across the working area.
What we can offer:

What we are looking for:
- Valid SIA licence in either security guarding, door supervisor or close protection
- UK driving licence
- A good communicator, both written and spoken
- Someone who can work well within a large security team and with others within the project
- A strong customer focus and customer service skills
- A professional manner with sound judgement and integrity
