We are seeking a project-based Resourcing Partner to join Laing O'Rourke's in-house Resourcing Team, supporting the delivery of the UK's Great Grid Upgrade. Based in Birmingham, with occasional nationwide travel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the right talent is in place to deliver critical infrastructure projects that support the UK's transition to cleaner, greener energy.  

This is a hands-on recruitment role, managing a high-volume, multi-disciplinary vacancy portfolio, where your ability to proactively source, headhunt, and attract top talent will directly influence project success.  

The Role: 

  • Take ownership of a high-volume recruitment portfolio, delivering end-to-end hiring across mobilisation, delivery, and demobilisation phases. 
  • Proactively source, headhunt, and engage top-tier talent to meet project needs. 
  • Partner with project and functional leaders to forecast and plan resourcing requirements. 
  • Design and implement creative sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high-quality candidates. 
  • Continuously enhance recruitment processes to improve efficiency and candidate experience.

Skills & Experience: 
We are looking for a proactive, organised recruitment professional with strong intuition and a delivery mindset. You will ideally have: 

  • Hands-on experience managing a high-volume, multi-disciplinary recruitment portfolio in the power, construction, engineering, or infrastructure sectors. 
  • Proven ability to proactively source and headhunt top talent. 
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility. 
  • A detail-focused and adaptable approach to managing competing priorities. 
  • High emotional intelligence and a passion for delivering best-practice recruitment.
