Expanded geotechnical are one of the UKs most successful and innovative piling and ground engineering companies, working throughout the UK. We have delivered some of the most complex and challenging piling schemes of recent years.

We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager (Piling) to join our growing team!

Location: This role will be based on our Monklands project (Glasgow) for 12 months, then look to support some of our wider projects across the UK (London, Wales, Suffolk)

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the achievement of our safety targets and zero tolerance of unsafe working practices and occurrences
  • To support the delivery of the sub project to the client within budget, Quality Assurance standards, on programme and to stringent safety parameters
  • To work with the planning team to develop detailed and accurate short term programmes of work
  • To provide accurate and timely reporting of progress against the plan
  • To ensure adoption of innovative ideas from within the business and from the workforce
  • To support the programming of day to day resource requirement and communicate these to the construction team
  • To interface with the construction manager and sections managers to share best practice and ensure effective resource utilisation
  • To monitor external changes to work plans and report the effect of change
  • To lead section meetings to review safety, quality, progress and design.
  • To ensure effective implementation of project management systems and procedures
  • Contribute to the contract review process.
  • To chair safety committee meetings on a monthly basis, take minutes, distribute and carry out all actions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum 5 years of piling project experience, preferably including CFA, and Rotary Bored and have a working knowledge of piling plant plus preferably some experience of working with support fluids.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6) and construction management tools (e.g., Procore, AutoCAD, BIM).
  • UK Driving License
