Role Profile as below.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general labouring duties to support depot operations.

Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of tools, equipment, and materials

Operate workshop and site equipment safely, following relevant training and instructions.

Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area, adhering to all Health, Safety & Environmental standards.

Support skilled operatives, supervisors, and engineers with day-to-day tasks as required.

Follow instructions accurately, both verbally and in written form.

Report any hazards, damage, or equipment faults promptly to supervisors.

Handle materials and equipment safely, including manual handling tasks associated with large or heavy items.

Work as part of a team to help meet project schedules and operational targets.

Assist other departments within the depot when required to maintain workflow and productivity.

 

Key Skills

Experience working in a construction, industrial, or depot environment (preferred but not essential).

Ability to work safely with tools, equipment, and machinery (training provided where necessary).

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.

Good awareness of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.

Physically capable of manual handling tasks and manoeuvring materials or equipment.

Basic understanding of site operations and willingness to learn new skills and processes.

Good organisational skills with the ability to keep work areas clean and orderly.

 

Qualifications

CSCS card (preferred but not essential).

Any relevant training certificates (manual handling, abrasive wheels, etc.) are beneficial.

 

Qualifications & Other Requirements

Willingness to undertake additional training as required for the role

.Forklift or lifting‑equipment experience would be an advantage

.Reliable, punctual, and safety‑focused approach to work.
