Duties
• Operate excavators safely and efficiently in accordance with site requirements.
• Carry out excavation, grading, loading and lifting activities as directed.
• Conduct pre-start checks, routine inspections and basic maintenance.
• Complete daily plant checks and defect reporting documentation.
• Work in accordance with lifting plans and safe systems of work.
• Liaise with Supervisors and Site Management regarding work activities.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working area at all times.
• Attend site briefings, toolbox talks and training as required.
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental standards.
Experience/Skills Required
• Previous experience operating excavators on construction or civil engineering projects.
• CPCS Excavator Above and Below 10 Tonnes.
• CPCS Lifting Operations endorsement.
• Good understanding of safe digging practices and service avoidance.
• Strong awareness of health and safety requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Requirements
• Valid CPCS Card for Excavator Above and Below 10 Tonnes.
• CPCS Lifting Operations endorsement.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Previous construction site experience.
• Ability to travel to the Preston project location.
