Job Title: DE&IM Project Information Manager

Location: Dartford -Central team

Have you led multiple projects as a sector PIM and helped build systems and processes for project set-ups?

Do you have experience with multiple EDMS systems and have collaborated with internal and external stakeholders?

We're looking for an experienced Project Information Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality information management across a major construction project.

You'll take ownership of information standards, systems and processes, ensuring project teams have access to accurate, secure and well-managed information throughout the project lifecycle. You'll also lead and develop the Information Management team while driving greater use of digital tools and smarter ways of working.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and develop the project Information Management and Document Control team, ensuring a high-quality service.
  • Establish and maintain project Information Standards, Methods and Procedures, working closely with the Digital Engineer and wider Information Management teams.
  • Define clear Information Management roles, responsibilities and processes across the project.
  • Manage the project Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), preferably Asite.
  • Ensure information is securely managed, with appropriate access controls and a security-minded approach to project data.
  • Drive compliance with ISO 19650 / PAS 1192 information management principles.
  • Coordinate project and client reporting, including information and system reporting.
  • Provide training and support to project teams on Information Management systems and processes.
  • Manage quality procedures across Document Control and administrative activities.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of Field View and mobile quality management solutions.
  • Help project teams digitise processes through existing digital tools and mobile technology.
  • Manage and facilitate information across SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
  • Support the production and management of the Digital Health & Safety File.
  • Provide eTendering support and training to Procurement teams.
  • Manage project information archiving throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to simplify processes and add value.

What We're Looking For

You'll be an organised, proactive Information Management professional who is confident operating within a fast-paced central team supporting projects.

The individual will view Information Management as a vital enabler of project delivery, rather than merely as a means of document control, and will consistently seek opportunities to enhance the processes of creating, managing, sharing, and handing over information.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and the full project lifecycle.
  • Experience managing Information Management and Document Control processes.
  • Ability to identify, map, improve and manage business processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 19650 / PAS 1192 principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of collaboration and EDMS platforms, ideally Asite.
  • Strong communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver to demanding timescales.
  • Good technical capability with a strong understanding of digital information management.
  • Highly organised, structured and systematic approach to delivery.

Desirable Experience

  • Previous people-management or team-leadership experience.
  • Experience implementing or managing Field View.
  • Understanding of quality management systems.
  • Experience managing digital project handover.
  • Experience supporting mobile and digital solutions within construction.
  • Strong presentation, training and facilitation skills.
