We're looking for a motivated Junior IT Procurement Manager to join our IT Procurement team at Laing O'Rourke.

Reporting to the IT Procurement Lead, you'll work closely with colleagues across Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Purchasing, Cost Optimisation, Vendor Management, IT Business Governance and IT Asset Management (ITAM).

What you'll be doing:

Reviewing, analysing and supporting the drafting and revision of IT supplier and partnership agreements, ensuring contracts align with business, commercial and legal requirements.
Supporting commercial negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and value for money, while monitoring ongoing spend and comparing costs across our IT supplier portfolio.
Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure procurement activities support business and technology requirements.
Helping ensure procurement processes comply with relevant legal, financial, governance and compliance requirements.
Monitoring category performance and reporting on savings, procurement pipelines, risks and issues at the appropriate level.
Collaborating closely with Vendor Management, Cost Management, IT Business Governance, ITAM and SAM teams to support a joined-up approach to technology lifecycle management.
Supporting the management of IT contracts, terms and conditions, assets and entitlement workflows.
Developing strong knowledge across our hardware, software and SaaS portfolio and using this to support effective procurement and commercial decisions.

What we're looking for:

Good technical and commercial knowledge of the IT category, including hardware, software and SaaS.
Good knowledge of IT vendors and an understanding of their commercial and operating models.
An understanding of IT contract management, Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) platforms and processes.
Experience within procurement or vendor management, with an emphasis on business partnering. Experience within a partnership or professional services environment would be advantageous.
Good knowledge of procurement best practice and commercial principles.
Experience building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
An analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, understand situations and use information to support sound commercial decisions.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively across several IT disciplines simultaneously.
A resilient and proactive approach, with the ability to remain focused on wider business objectives when faced with challenges or changing priorities.
A genuine interest in IT, technology and the evolving technology marketplace.
