Fraudulent recruitment offers warning
We have been made aware of individuals issuing fraudulent job offers and communications while claiming to represent Laing O’Rourke.
These approaches may use the Laing O’Rourke name, logo or details of genuine employees to appear legitimate. They may be made through email, social media, messaging services such as LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or unofficial email domains and are often intended to obtain money or personal and financial information.
Please be aware:
- All genuine Laing O’Rourke vacancies can be verified through our official careers website.
- We will only make a formal offer of employment following an appropriate recruitment and selection process.
- All formal offers will be issued through our secure recruitment system.
- We will never ask you to make a payment as part of our recruitment process, including for administration, equipment, travel, visas or work permits.
- We will not ask you to provide bank details or other sensitive personal information by email, text message, social media or WhatsApp. Where this information is required, it will only be requested through our secure system at the appropriate stage of the process.
The use of our name, logo or the details of a Laing O’Rourke employee should not be taken as proof that a communication is genuine.
If you receive a communication that you believe may be fraudulent:
- Do not make any payment.
- Do not provide personal, financial or identification information.
- Do not open unexpected attachments or follow suspicious links.
- Do not continue communicating with the sender.
- Check that the vacancy appears on our official careers website.
