The Strategy Specialist you will be a key team member of the LOR Group's Central Strategy & Transformation team. The team is responsible for shaping the company's long-term strategy, defining yearly strategic priorities, and driving business transformation initiatives.

As a Strategy Specialist, you will contribute directly to the future direction of the Group by providing analysis, insight, and recommendations to senior leadership. The position offers significant exposure to executive decision-making and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on one of the UK's leading construction businesses.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Able to conduct industry, competitor, and market research to identify short- and long-term growth opportunities.
  • Analyse operational and financial data to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives, including market assessments and strategic fit analysis.
  • Prepare clear, impactful presentations and reports for senior management.
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver insights on key projects, highlighting the “so what” implications of data.
  • Build a diverse internal network to enhance access to insights and information.
  • Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders by providing well-founded analysis and recommendations.

What skills and experience do you need for the role?

  • Experience in strategy or problem-solving roles, ideally within a top management consultancy or corporate strategy function in industrials/construction.
  • Ability to manage workstreams independently with minimal supervision.
  • Analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Able to communicate with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Experienced with MS Excel and PowerPoint, with sound financial literacy.
  • Passion for and understanding of the construction industry, with the drive to make a tangible impact.
