Senior Whole Life Carbon & Data Advisor
Location: Flexible (Oxford, Milton Keynes, St Neots, Birmingham, Port Talbot, Watford, Woking or nearby) - occasional travel to project sites required. 

We are seeking a Senior Whole Life Carbon & Data Advisor to join our Carbon Solutions team within the Sustainability function. This is a dual role, split between project delivery and the development of our carbon data systems, with flexibility for part-time applicants interested in either focus area.

You will play a key role in reducing embodied and operational carbon across our projects, working with multidisciplinary teams and influencing both project outcomes and wider business practices.

This is primarily an office-based role with occasional travel to project sites and our head office in Dartford.

Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery

  • Act as the carbon lead across assigned projects, ensuring compliance with client, legal, and business requirements.
  • Support whole life carbon assessments in line with RICS WLCA and tools such as One Click LCA.
  • Provide expertise in carbon management aligned with PAS 2080, identifying hotspots and reduction opportunities.
  • Support project teams with carbon reporting, target setting, and delivery.
  • Contribute to training, case studies, and work-winning materials.

Carbon Data Systems

  • Support the development of carbon measurement and reporting tools and systems.
  • Establish efficient workflows for data collection, validation, and reporting.
  • Analyse carbon data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant software and support data development across factory and product teams (e.g. EPDs, TM65).

About You

Essential

  • Passion for sustainability, carbon reduction, and climate resilience.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • High level of digital and numerical literacy, with the ability to analyse complex data.

Desirable

  • Experience working within design and/or construction teams (typically 5+ years).
  • Knowledge of carbon measurement and management principles, or willingness to develop in this area.
  • Relevant degree (Engineering, Environmental, Architecture, or similar) or equivalent experience.
