Role & responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of GIS strategies across major infrastructure projects.

  • Manage project geodatabases, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Integrate geospatial datasets from multiple sources (CAD, survey, BIM, asset data) into usable GIS outputs.
  • Support field data collection and mobile workflows, ensuring real-time updates into project platforms.
  • Produce high-quality maps, reports, and visualisations to inform planning, delivery, and client reporting.
  • Assist the Digital Lead with documentation of the BEP (BIM Execution Plan) and wider geospatial initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with ArcGIS Online and the ESRI desktop suite, including creating and publishing web maps, apps, and dashboards (typically 5+ years).
  • Strong technical skills in data extraction, transformation, and integration from diverse engineering and survey data sources.
  • Understanding of spatial data standards and best practice in construction and infrastructure.
  • Ability to deliver clear, user-friendly mapping solutions that make complex data accessible.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: able to listen to user needs, manage expectations, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • A collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Confidence to influence others, present ideas, and challenge assumptions constructively.
  • A natural mentor with enthusiasm for developing others and sharing knowledge.
  • Passion for innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
