Resourcing Advisor - The Civil Works Alliance

Location: Orwell Logistics Park, Ipswich (Hybrid: 2 days per week from home)

Help deliver one of the UK's most complex and ambitious infrastructure programmes!

The Civil Works Alliance (CWA) — a partnership between Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues and Balfour Beatty — is delivering the full civils scope of Sizewell C, one of the UK's largest and most high-profile nuclear projects. As we scale up for Main Civils Works, we are expanding our internal recruitment team with this newly created role.

As a Resourcing Advisor, you'll support high-quality recruitment across a range of white-collar disciplines, including commercial, procurement, digital, delivery and civil engineering. You'll thrive in a growing, evolving environment where you can help shape processes and contribute to a professional, forward-thinking recruitment function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source high-quality candidates through direct recruitment channels, using advanced search techniques and proactive engagement.
  • Manage high-volume, multi-disciplinary vacancies across the Main Civils Works portfolio.
  • Influence and guide hiring managers, providing best practice and market insight.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for key project roles.
  • Create and publish compelling, inclusive job advertisements.
  • Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring a professional and consistent candidate experience.
  • Support improvements to recruitment systems and digital tools.
  • Champion continuous improvement across processes and the EVP.
  • Contribute to our diversity and inclusion agenda.

About You

  • Proven permanent recruitment experience, ideally within construction, engineering, technical or energy sectors.
  • Experience managing a fast-moving, high-volume vacancy portfolio (agency or RPO experience beneficial).
  • Strong direct sourcing skills, able to find and engage talent in competitive markets.
  • Confident building trusted stakeholder relationships and influencing hiring decisions.
  • Highly organised and proactive, able to anticipate challenges and keep delivery on track.
  • Comfortable in a start-up style environment where processes are evolving.
  • Collaborative, improvement-focused and solutions-driven.
  • Professional, resilient and able to represent the Civil Works Alliance with credibility.
