We're looking for a forward-thinking Reinforcement Engineer to join our RC Modelling Team at the Explore Manufacturing Design Centre. If you're passionate about digital delivery, low-carbon innovation, and pushing the boundaries of precast design, this is your chance to make an impact.

This role offers the chance to:

• Support design for manufacture (DfMA) on major infrastructure projects

• Collaborate with structural engineers, digital designers, and production teams

• Drive quality, safety, and efficiency using 2D and 3D CAD tools

• Be part of our innovation journey as we rethink concrete design for a more sustainable future

What you'll be doing:

• Developing detailed reinforcement models and drawings for precast elements

• Driving value engineering to optimise material use and reduce embodied carbon

• Ensuring compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards and internal detailing standards

• Supporting product development, training junior engineers, and improving workflows

• Engaging with stakeholders across design, manufacturing, and delivery functions

What we're looking for:

• Experience in reinforcement design/modelling – ideally within a DfMA or precast environment

• Strong working knowledge of 2D/3D CAD tools and Common Data Environments

• Awareness of structural interfaces, lifting/handling design, and manufacturing constraints

• A commitment to continuous improvement and sustainable engineering solutions

• A proactive approach to managing design change, quality, and compliance
