We're looking for a Production Engineer to join our Quality team at Laing O'Rourke's Centre of Excellence for Modern Construction (CEMC) – the beating heart of our offsite manufacturing capability.

CEMC is where cutting-edge meets concrete. Since opening in 2009, the facility has produced components for some of the UK's most iconic projects – including Everton Stadium, Olympia redevelopment, Oxford Humanities and HS2.

As Production Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring that the quality of our precast concrete components meets the highest standards – for clients, communities and the future of modern construction.

You'll:

• Develop and implement robust Project Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans

• Translate specification requirements into practical manufacturing processes

• Lead root cause analysis and share learnings across the factory

• Promote continuous improvement to increase Right First Time performance

• Support Temporary Works coordination to ensure safe and consistent manufacture

• Be a visible advocate for safety, quality, and engineering excellence across CEMC

What You'll Bring

We're looking for a team player with a strong technical mindset and the confidence to influence across all levels. Ideally, you'll have:

• Engineering or technical experience in a manufacturing or site-based role

• Solid understanding of concrete, construction tolerances and standards

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• A commercial mindset with a focus on product compliance and quality
