We are currently recruiting for an experienced Insurance Manager to join our growing business.  

The Insurance Manager will manage the insurance requirements for specific projects, arranging cover, liaising with stakeholders and dealing with claims.  Reporting direct to the Group Insurance Manager the role provides the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams, external insurers, and legal advisors to assess risk exposures and secure appropriate insurance coverage to maintain compliance with business minimum standards and contractual requirements.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to project teams in dealing with Contract Works & Plant losses.
  • Provide guidance on insurance cover, claims notifications, liaison with loss adjusters, assistance to commercial teams in collating and presenting claims.
  • Regular liaison with brokers, loss adjusters and underwriters
  • Administration of professional indemnity policy
  • Responding to queries and providing guidance to project teams
  • Analysis of claims experience data and reporting on findings
  • Developing & implementation of business improvements
  • Preparing underwriting information and participation in insurance renewals
  • Assistance with procurement of project specific insurance policies
  • Involvement in pre-contract reviews of insurance arrangements

Personal Qualities

The role presents an opportunity for the individual to gain broad experience of the insurance exposures of a multi-national construction business and for the mix of responsibilities to be adapted suit the individual's skills, experience and qualities.

The candidate should be enthusiastic and willing to take on new responsibilities.  Capable of working unsupervised and possess the ability to interface with others who do not have knowledge or experience of insurance. 

Experience and competencies required:

An individual with an insurance claims, underwriting or broking background is preferred.  The ideal candidate would have experience of construction, professional indemnity and third party property insurance claims, with an understanding of the operation of the insurance market. 

A knowledge of construction will be beneficial.

Formal insurance qualifications are preferred (CII / CILA).

Formal training will be supported where required.  Opportunities to develop the scope of the role will be encouraged.
