Information Manager – Main Civils Works

Location: London/Ipswich with Hybrid Working (3 days in the office, 2 days remote)

The Civil Works Alliance (CWA), appointed by the Sizewell C client, unites three industry-leading contractors — Laing O'Rourke, Bouygues, and Balfour Beatty — to deliver the full civils scope, including Enabling Earthworks, Main Civil Works, and Marine and Tunnelling.

The purpose of the role is to deliver an exceptional Information Management service within the Civil Works Alliance (CWA) Information Management functional team, to facilitate the delivery of the project.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Information Management team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality service to support the project's information needs, including reception services.
  • Oversee the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), primarily Asite, managing document security, access rights, and compliance with quality procedures.
  • Develop, agree, and communicate project Information Standards and Methods & Procedures in collaboration with the Digital Engineer and Regional Information Management team.
  • Coordinate project reporting, including client and system reports, and provide training to staff on information management systems.
  • Support the digitisation of project processes through existing digital tools and platforms such as SharePoint and Teams.
  • Manage archiving processes throughout the project lifecycle and participate in Information Management peer groups and working groups.

 

What skills & experience are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Experience working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, project life cycles, and quality management systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with PAS1192 / ISO19650 and digital handover processes.
  • Expert in EDM systems, preferably Asite, and mobile device use.
  • Analytical and highly organised with ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Able to work effectively on-site and remotely.
  • Proven Information Management experience on large infrastructure or nuclear projects.
  • Skilled in managing teams and CDE systems.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement record.

Desirable:

  • Technical aptitude and good presentation skills.
  • Experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to add value and familiarity with Power BI.
