Job Title: Graduate: Reward Graduate

Role Overview
As a Reward Graduate you will play a key role in supporting our Reward and Data team within the People function. This team is responsible for shaping and delivering Laing O'Rourke's remuneration, benefits, and recognition strategies. We design, implement and maintain competitive pay structures, manage our employee benefits offering, and ensure that our reward frameworks remain fair, market-aligned, and future-ready — helping to attract top talent and motivate our employees. Our data analysis supports the whole function and wider business to inform better data-led decision making. In this role you'll gain exposure to a variety of reward projects, data analysis and reward initiatives, providing a strong foundation for a career in Reward.
Key Deliverables and Accountabilities of a Reward Analyst
- Provide informed advice to Reward and Benefit queries from stakeholders across the business.
- Help promote awareness and understanding of employee benefits and policies through communication campaigns.
- Support with job evaluation, evaluating new and existing roles for appropriate job families, levels and salary ranges.
- Assist with analysis of external market data to help benchmark roles to ensure compensation package remain competitive.
- Analysis of compensation data to create ad-hoc reports for the team and internal stakeholders.
- Support and learn from data analyst in analysing and presenting data from across the business to inform decision making. Opportunities to learn Power Bi skills.
- Assist with monitoring benefit utilisation to ensure offerings are cost-effective and aligned with employee needs.
- Support with utilising data and employee feedback to discover trends, identify gaps, and explore opportunities to enhance the benefits offering.
- Assist with new benefit implementation.
- Help maintain the Reward and Benefits areas of our Intranet.

Entry requirements
We are looking for graduates who meet the following criteria:
- Studying a degree course with a clear route to relevant professional accreditation
- Your degree classification should be 2:2 or higher
- Entry degrees will be listed within each of our graduate vacancies and differ from role to role
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Eligible to work in the UK. Unfortunately, we do not offer visa sponsorship
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, and data cleansing techniques
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar (desirable)

Online Assessment
You will complete a series of assessments designed to understand how you approach workplace situations, your preferred ways of working, as well as exercises to evaluate your critical thinking and numerical reasoning skills. -
Video Interview
At this stage, you will be invited to record responses to two questions set by our hiring team. You will have sufficient time to prepare and ensure you present yourself confidently. -
Assessment Centre
Our in-person assessment centres, held at a LOR office, provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate your skills through a combination of individual tasks, short interviews, and group activities. This is also a chance to experience our culture first-hand. -
Outcome
We aim to provide feedback and communicate the outcome of your assessment centre within two weeks.
