The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join the team on Hinkley Point C, the nuclear power station currently underway in Bridgwater, Somerset. In this role, you will provide practical health & safety advice and support to managers and staff, helping them meet the high standards required on the project. You will also act as a point of contact for projects when liaising with enforcement bodies.

What will the role involve?

• Provide advice and guidance to managers and teams to help deliver effective health & safety practices.

• Support positive engagement with the workforce to understand what works well and where improvements can be made.

• Help gather and communicate feedback from staff to management to support wellbeing and inclusion initiatives.

• Promote learning by sharing updates, guidance, and industry best practices across projects.

• Support the development of project-level health & safety plans in line with company policies.

• Assist in setting realistic goals for health & safety improvements and monitor progress as required.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

• Relevant qualification at level 6 (minimum).

• Knowledge of occupational health and safety risk management.

• Member of a relevant professional body is desirable.

• Practical experience in providing health & safety guidance on construction projects.
