The opportunity
Crown House Technologies, the specialist MEP delivery business of Laing O'Rourke, is seeking a Commercial MEP Lead to join the team delivering Hinkley Point C.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the commercial delivery of major MEP packages within a highly regulated nuclear environment, providing strategic commercial leadership while working closely with operational teams, clients and key stakeholders.
What will the role look like?
- Lead the commercial delivery and governance of major MEP packages, ensuring robust commercial controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide commercial leadership across procurement, subcontract management, change control, variations and final accounts.
- Drive commercial performance, maximising profitability, cash flow and contractual entitlement.
- Produce accurate cost reporting, forecasting and commercial reviews for the project leadership team.
- Identify, manage and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Provide commercial and contractual guidance to project teams, promoting best practice and governance.
- Lead, develop and mentor members of the commercial team.
What skills & experience are we looking for?
- Proven experience in a Commercial MEP Lead, Commercial Manager or Senior Commercial Manager role within the MEP sector.
- Strong NEC contract knowledge and experience delivering complex MEP packages on major projects.
- Experience working for a specialist MEP contractor or main contractor.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
- RICS membership (desirable but not essential).
