Head of Sales – Modular Accommodation & Welfare

Business Unit: Select Plant Hire – Modular Solutions
Location: Flexible – travel as needed to projects

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Head of Sales who can bring vision, energy, and leadership to drive growth, strengthen client partnerships, and position Select as the UK's partner of choice for modular accommodation and welfare.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and check in regularly with individual sales team members, supporting their performance, reviewing reports, and ensuring everyone's aligned.
  • Be hands-on in the sales process from reviewing quotes and managing pricing, to ensuring commercial terms are accurate and profitable.
  • Work closely with the commercial and design teams, getting involved in tenders and project design where modular experience adds real value.
  • Develop and deliver a forward-thinking sales strategy that drives growth and strengthens our market position.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors, project leaders, and procurement teams.
  • Spend time out visiting clients, understanding their needs, and positioning Select as a trusted, solution-driven partner.
  • Oversee the external sales pipeline, ensuring consistency, competitiveness, and commercial rigour.
  • Collaborate across teams  from manufacturing and operations to finance, making sure what's promised can be delivered.

What You'll Bring

  • A proven track record in senior sales or business development, ideally within modular accommodation, welfare, construction, or plant hire.
  • Tier 1 client experience and confidence working within complex, large-scale project environments.
  • Strong commercial and pricing expertise, with an eye for detail and profitability.
  • The ability to balance strategy with action equally comfortable leading meetings or reviewing quotes line by line.
  • A collaborative, people-focused leadership style, with excellent communication and coaching skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach to external sales, customer engagement, and relationship building.

(A degree in Business, Sales, or Construction Management is a plus, but proven experience and attitude matter most.)
