About the role:

We're looking for a bright and motivated individual to join our Digital Engineering team on the Monklands Replacement Project as a Trainee Digital Engineer. Responsibilities include:

  • Contributes to the implementation of Digital Engineering on projects by supporting the application of DE resource, skills, process, protocols and tasks at pre-construction, construction, commissioning, handover, operation and maintenance stages.
  •  Supports the Digital Engineering team in delivering DE to projects in accordance with our scope of services as set out in the Digital Standards.

  • Contributes to best practice and the development of the Digital Engineering service offering through proactive communication with other members of the Digital Engineering team.

  • Demonstrate an awareness of the project specific Digital Engineering (BIM) requirements as informed by client and stakeholders.

  • Where directed, contribute to the development of 3D Model information and associated outputs, e.g. visual, logistical, 4D, temporary works, and quantification, to assist the project team to effectively communicate and deliver to critical agreed deadlines

  • Support the Digital Engineering team with reporting on project implementation

  • Contribute to the capture and sharing of best practice relating to project implementation and project support on projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Excellent communication and proactive teamwork skills.
  • Experience user of Autodesk products such as Revit / AEC Suite / Navisworks.
  • Knowledge of the ISO 19650 suite of standards.
  • Knowledge of 3D modelling, drawing production and BIM data management.
  • Able to work at the project site-based location within the construction team.
  • Able to work independently, make decisions and progress at the pace of the project.
  • Willingness to travel to other projects, offices, and group events from time to time.
