The Opportunity:

Crown House Technologies (CHt), the specialist MEP delivery business of Laing O'Rourke, is recruiting an experienced Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor to join the team delivering a major Data Centre project in Slough.

This is an exciting opportunity to take commercial responsibility across allocated MEP packages, working closely with project teams, the client and supply chain partners to support the successful delivery of the project.

What will the Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor role look like?

  • Manage commercial activities across allocated MEP packages and work packages.
  • Take responsibility for cost management, forecasting, risk and opportunity.
  • Manage subcontract procurement, administration, change, valuations, accounts and claims.
  • Prepare monthly cost reports, commercial forecasts, contract reviews and management information.
  • Identify, price and manage change throughout the delivery of the project.
  • Provide commercial and contractual advice to the project team.
  • Monitor package performance, costs and commercial risks, taking action where required.
  • Maintain robust commercial governance and contract compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior members of the Commercial team.

What skills & experience are we looking for?

  • Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management; RICS membership is desirable, though not essential.
  • Significant Quantity Surveying experience within MEP or building services projects.
  • Experience managing complex MEP packages on data centres or other major construction projects is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
