Lead the Logistics of Britain's Nuclear Revolution
Locations: St Neots (Select Plant Hire) & Derby
Salary: Competitive + Benefits + Car Allowance
Contract Type: Permanent
This isn't just a construction project—it's the UK laying the foundations for a clean-energy future, with the potential to power 3 million homes and part of a broader UK nuclear renaissance—this SMR deployment marks one of the biggest building programmes in a generation.
As Senior Logistics Manager, you'll be a linchpin in bringing this bold vision to life.
What You'll Be Doing
-
Forge and lead the onsite logistics strategy: manage construction logistics from layout, working zones, traffic flows, and operational setup.
-
Champion safety-first standards in partnership with the HS&E team—ensuring seamless separation of logistics operations from moving traffic.
-
Co-create modular-ready site layouts with architects, accounting for temporary services, buried utilities, and dynamic traffic demands.
-
Bridge on-site and off-site logistics: orchestrate smooth delivery flows, returns, and coordination with external logistics teams.
-
Drive digital excellence: contribute to 3D modelling, build schedules, and operational planning, fully integrated into the project's state-of-the-art logistics deliverables.
-
Manage traffic throughout construction: optimize the on-site road network as the project evolves.
-
Enable manufacturing integration: collaborate with the Site Factory team for streamlined movement of components into and out of the facility.
-
Communicate across construction phases: compile and deliver logistics insights in RD10 deliverables, engaging with stakeholders across civils, construction, and business development.
-
Support business development: align logistics delivery with evolving project strategy and scalability plans.
Your Profile
-
Degree (or equivalent) in Logistics or related discipline.
-
At least 8–10 years of hands-on experience in complex, high-stakes logistics environments.
-
Expertise in project management, process design, and stakeholder collaboration.
-
A track record of innovative thinking and best-practice identification in logistics operations.
-
Ready to support and integrate with senior logistics leaders and cross-functional teams (particularly around WP9.13, CSA, RD10, and BD).
Why This Role Matters
-
Be at the forefront of UK energy transformation: This is more than a job — it's a pivotal role in delivering a national clean energy programme powered by SMRs, one of the UK's boldest infrastructure agendas in decades.
-
Drive innovation in modular nuclear construction: SMRs are faster, safer, and more cost-effective than traditional nuclear builds—yours will help make it happen.
-
Shape a legacy: Your logistics strategy will influence a project that's setting a new standard for energy security, industrial renewal, and economic uplift.
-
Join a iconic team: You'll collaborate alongside Rolls-Royce experts as they lead Europe's first SMR deployment, backed by billions in public funding and national ambition
