Expanded are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to take technical ownership of a defined section of works.

You'll coordinate site activities, support junior engineers and work closely with construction, design, commercial and subcontractor teams to deliver safely and to a high standard.

What will the role involve?

  • Managing the technical delivery of your section.
  • Planning activities against programme, quality and safety requirements.
  • Leading setting-out and dimensional-control activities.
  • Managing drawings, technical queries, design changes and site records.
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance, resources and progress.
  • Coordinating materials, plant and temporary works.
  • Supporting junior engineers and promoting safe, right-first-time delivery.

What are we looking for?

  • A relevant civil engineering or construction qualification.
  • Practical engineering experience within a construction environment.
  • Experience managing a defined section of works.
  • Strong setting-out, surveying and dimensional-control skills.
  • Knowledge of temporary works, quality processes and health and safety.
  • Good planning, communication and problem-solving skills.

Experience with Navisworks, Revit, digital engineering or DfMA would be beneficial but not essential.
