Role Overview
Laing O'Rourke is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage procurement activities across major construction and engineering projects.
This role is responsible for delivering strategic sourcing solutions, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, plant, and subcontract packages. The Procurement Manager will play a key role in driving value, innovation, and supply chain performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project and business objectives
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities, including tendering, negotiation, and contract award
- Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontract packages
- Ensure compliance with company governance, policies, and procurement best practices
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and key stakeholders
- Drive cost savings, value engineering, and risk mitigation across the supply chain
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to ensure competitiveness and resilience
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide guidance and support to procurement teams and project stakeholders
- Influence internal teams to adopt best practice procurement approaches
- Act as a key interface between project delivery teams and the supply chain
