The Opportunity:

We are looking for an MEP Principal Digital Engineer to join the Crown House Technologies MEICA Digital Design Centre based at one of our head offices which could be either Manchester, Leeds or Dartford. 

The Crown House Technologies MEICA Digital Design Centre provides the capability to fully engineer our projects before commencing work on site ensuring an optimised engineered solution, technical excellence, maximised use of offsite products, reduced waste and enhanced delivery efficiency. All of our engineers are part of our Engineering Enterprise and aligned with our overall strategy to maximise DfMA, Digital Engineering, and Early Engagement.

The Role
The Principal Digital Engineer will lead the review and coordination of design information, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company design management procedures. This includes consideration of programme, buildability, safety, maintenance, and technical suitability. The role supports the implementation of processes for production, control, and distribution of design information across project stages and monitors progress against timelines for design, co-ordination, and interfaces.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Contractor-side experience in MEP Digital Design / BIM Coordination and Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA)

  • Degree in Building Services, Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, MEICA, or related construction/design field, or NVQ Level 4 with demonstrable design/construction experience

  • Experience collaborating with design consultant teams

  • Knowledge of a range of building materials, techniques, and MEP systems

Technical Capabilities

  • Leading and owning the design brief

  • Design optimisation and coordination for efficiency and buildability

  • Application of DfMA principles to projects

  • Managing consultancies and stakeholder interfaces

  • Information and change control, ensuring accurate documentation and updates

  •
