Senior MEP Digital Engineer
A Senior MEP Digital Engineer holds a pivotal position within our organisation, being directly responsible for the creation, production, and comprehensive management of high-quality 3D Building Information Models (BIM) and meticulously detailed technical drawings that support and facilitate on-site installation activities, offsite manufacture processes, and overall project delivery objectives. Working in close collaboration and maintaining regular communication with the Lead Digital Engineer and other senior stakeholders, they undertake a key and influential role in successfully delivering Digital Engineering (DE) objectives and strategic goals across both competitive tender bids and actively running live projects. In this capacity, they demonstrate leadership by taking full ownership and accountability for significant and often complex elements of project strategy, planning, and execution, ensuring alignment with broader organisational aims and client expectations.
The role encompasses the detailed and systematic coordinating of mechanical, electrical, and public health (MEP) building services within highly complex and technically challenging areas such as plantrooms, risers, distribution zones, and service corridors. This involves ensuring full and seamless integration and compatibility with architectural designs, structural frameworks, and all other relevant building elements and systems. The engineer takes personal responsibility for ensuring that all technical outputs, deliverables, and documentation consistently meet or exceed project-specific specifications, adhere to established Digital Engineering standards and protocols, comply with ISO 19650 information management requirements and frameworks, and align with recognised industry best practice and guidance. Throughout all activities, the engineer actively promotes and champions buildability, operational efficiency, value engineering, and the application of DfMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) principles to optimise construction processes, reduce waste, improve programme certainty, and enhance overall project outcomes.
Key responsibilities and core accountabilities include the production, development, and thorough reviewing of detailed 3D digital models and accurate 2D construction
