What is the role?

As Ductwork Construction Manager, you will take responsibility for managing all aspects of ductwork installation from pre-construction through to project handover. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, to programme, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of ductwork installation projects from pre-construction through to handover.
  • Plan and coordinate site activities, labour, materials, and plant to meet programme deadlines.
  • Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, and wider construction teams.
  • Review technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installation.
  • Lead and supervise site teams, including supervisors, installers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
  • Monitor site progress and provide regular reporting on programme performance, risks, and key milestones.
  • Identify and resolve site issues promptly to minimise delays and maintain productivity.
  • Manage quality control processes, inspections, testing, and snagging activities.
  • Maintain strong onsite relationships with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders, representing the business professionally at all times.

What do we look for?

  • Proven experience managing DW144 and fire-resisting ductwork installation projects.
  • Strong understanding of ventilation systems, ductwork fabrication, and installation methods.
  • Experience working on major construction projects within sectors such as commercial, healthcare, data centres, life sciences, or industrial environments.
  • Good knowledge of health and safety regulations, with SMSTS or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
