This is an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their career who is passionate about data, technology and continuous improvement and wants to see their work make a real impact in a live manufacturing environment.
Whether you've come through a degree, apprenticeship or have gained experience in a digital, data, engineering or manufacturing setting, we'll provide the support and development to help you build a successful career.

What we're looking for
We're less interested in finding someone who already knows everything and more interested in finding someone with curiosity, enthusiasm and a desire to learn.
You might have:
- A degree, apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Data, Engineering, Manufacturing, Information Systems or a related discipline
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- An interest in manufacturing, engineering, technology or digital transformation
It would be beneficial if you have some exposure to:
- Power BI or Power Query
- Microsoft Power Platform
- Databases or SQL
- Reporting, automation or data analysis
Why join Explore Manufacturing?
Explore Manufacturing is one of the most advanced manufacturing facilities in the construction sector. You'll have the opportunity to work on real operational challenges, develop valuable digital skills and learn from experienced specialists who are passionate about innovation.
You'll also benefit from:
- Structured development and mentoring
- Opportunities to learn Power BI, data modelling and digital manufacturing systems
- Access to the Laing O'Rourke Data Academy and Data Guild
- Exposure to leading manufacturing technology and processes
- The chance to help shape the future of manufacturing within a business that invests in innovation and continuous improvement
Ready to start your digital career?
If you're naturally curious, enjoy solving problems and want to use technology and data to make a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.
