Are you a proven construction leader with a background in delivering complex mechanical building services in healthcare or other regulated sectors?

Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where driving quality, programme and productivity is critical to success?

Are you ready to play a senior role on one of the UK's most transformative hospital projects?

Then come and join Crown House Technologies (CHt) as we help shape and deliver next-generation building services for some of the UK's most complex and iconic projects across the healthcare, science, defence, and major infrastructure sector.

We're on the look out for a Mechanical Construction Lead to take a pivotal role in the delivery of a state-of-the-art new hospital development in Cambridge, one of the UK's most ambitious healthcare projects where we are leading the full MEP delivery from design through to installation, commissioning, and handover.

This is a senior leadership opportunity requiring a highly experienced professional to be responsible for overseeing the full mechanical installation from coordination and productivity through to commissioning and handover.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading CHt's mechanical construction delivery on-site, driving programme, quality and safety performance.

  • Managing installation of key systems including HVAC, medical gases, CHW, LTHW, ventilation plant, and specialist healthcare services.

  • Driving workforce productivity and engagement through structured planning, clear communication, and strong field leadership.

  • Coordinating with planners, design managers, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless progression from install to completion.

  • Overseeing mechanical supervisors, forepersons, and subcontractors to deliver against daily and weekly targets.

  • Ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards of compliance, governance and build quality – in line with HTM and HBN healthcare regulations.

  • Reporting progress and risks to the senior project team while maintaining excellent relationships with client and stakeholder representatives.

What we're looking for:

  • Senior mechanical site leadership experience on major healthcare, pharmaceutical, or complex infrastructure projects.

  • Proven track record delivering fast-paced MEP packages on large schemes (£20m+ value).

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills – someone who motivates site teams to meet daily delivery goals.

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems and healthcare infrastructure compliance.

  • Knowledge of Lean delivery, digital tools (eg. BIM 360), and offsite/manufactured services is an advantage.

  • SMSTS, CSCS Black/Gold, and relevant H&S qualifications.

 What you'll bring:

  • Strong delivery track record on large-scale MEP or hospital builds.

  • Mechanical background (apprenticeship, HNC/HND or equivalent).

  • Authoritative leadership style with a focus on safe, quality-driven progress.

  • Experience managing large mechanical teams (internal and subcontracted).

  • Confidence to lead in client-facing situations and represent the mechanical workstream professionally.
