Location: Explore Plant and Transport Solutions, Worksop S80 3FD with ad hoc travel when required to Nottingham & Oldbury (expenses / travel covered)

Are you a passionate IT professional looking to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment? We're looking for a Manufacturing Sites IT Engineer to play a critical role in keeping our factories running smoothly and efficiently across the Midlands region.
About the Role
This is a hands-on technical and stakeholder-facing position where no two days are the same. You'll be supporting the operations of three key manufacturing plants, ensuring infrastructure, systems, and users are operating at peak performance. You'll be a trusted go-to expert, balancing daily IT support with the delivery of robust infrastructure projects.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver and support IT solutions across manufacturing sites, from design through implementation
- Work closely with the business and 3rd-party suppliers to ensure seamless project and system delivery
- Troubleshoot and resolve user and infrastructure issues, escalating where needed
- Maintain system documentation with 100% accuracy
- Drive continuous improvement across IT support, infrastructure, and manufacturing systems
- Regular travel to local sites will be expected
What You'll Bring
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Microsoft enterprise products, and basic networking
- Experience supporting and implementing infrastructure in a multi-site environment
- Working understanding of manufacturing systems (desirable)
- IP networking skills including switches and wireless configuration
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation best practices

- Strong service ethic with a proactive approach to support
- Ability to work to deadlines under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
You'll Also Need
- Experience in a corporate IT implementation/support role (2nd / 3rd Line level)
- Exposure to large, complex infrastructure environments
- Willingness to travel regularly across regional manufacturing sites
