Degree: Building Services Engineering
Job title: Trainee Digital Engineer
Project: Various

Give us a brief overview of your day to day responsibilities.

A digital engineer's day typically involves a mix of technical tasks, collaboration, and problem-solving. I work with software like BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) to create and coordinate 3D models, often focusing on MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. My tasks include running simulations for performance analysis, resolving technical issues, and automating processes with custom scripts. I attend meetings to align with teams and clients, document project progress, and ensure digital models are aligned with real-world implementations. Additionally, I focus on continuous learning and improvement with new software that is released. My role blends engineering expertise with digital tools to optimize and streamline the design and construction process.

What are your key achievements/highlights to date?

My current highlights and achievements are getting on live projects and drawing and modelling objects that are put on-site. Visiting site and seeing an idea that was visualised digitally being implemented physically is a true highlight, it really shows your making an impact and doing something.
