Health & Safety Manager – The Great Grid Partnership

Location: Birmingham (with occasional travel)

We're looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join The Great Grid Partnership, supporting our Infrastructure business unit to deliver a safe, inclusive, and positive working environment across our network upgrade programme.

Your role

  • Lead and support project teams to meet health, safety, and wellbeing standards.
  • Promote Inclusion + Wellbeing, helping teams connect with their workforce and embed positive safety behaviours.
  • Carry out audits, checks, and investigations to ensure safety processes are effective and risks are managed.
  • Coach, guide, and mentor staff to develop confidence in safety leadership and inclusive practices.
  • Provide clear, practical advice to help teams work safely across diverse and complex infrastructure environments.

What we're looking for

  • Level 5 health & safety qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience on civils, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Strong understanding of occupational health, wellbeing, and safety risk management.
  • Confident in coaching, training, auditing, and investigating.
  • Member of a relevant professional body (IOSH, IIRSM, etc.).
